Le Mans Classic winner is not a car but a "team". Indeed, as for the 24 Hours, victory awards the work achieved for 24 hours by the whole team. The first outcomes are the unique friendly competition and the lively atmosphere all night long throughout the circuit.
The principle is easy to understand. The team has to be made up of one car from each grid, meaning six crews.
The track, which allows for competition 65 cars, will be full up. Thus, there will be 65 teams. The drivers, who now know each other, get organised by themselves, sometimes with the Organisers' back up if required.
As a result, the finish of each round is considered as an intermediate classification only.
