Artcurial Motorcars keeps on raising the bids at Le Mans Classic
Maestro Hervé Poulain's hammer was busy again at the Le Mans Classic for the Artcurial Motorcars' auction: Automobilia and 130 collector cars gathered by Matthieu Lamoure's team.
The success met in 2010 continued in 2012 with a large brochure offering first class cars, many of them without reserve prices: 9 million euros, representing a 30% progression! With 88% of the cars sold, 70% of which were bought by foreign collectors, Artcurial Motorcars again confirmed its rise to prominence as one of the main players on the market.
One of the three collections on offer; the Heuliez prototypes were the object of three pre-emptions by the Châtellerault museum and reached the figure of 800,000 euros.
Among the auction stars a very rare 275 GTC (Nürburgring 1000Km in 1966 winner) estimated €.1, 300,000 was sold for €.1, 540,200 €!
