Artcurial Motorcars fait monter les enchères ! |
Parce que le meilleur musée reste la route, voire la piste, la vente inaugurale d'Artcurial Motorcars se déroulera vendredi 9 juillet lors de la cinquième édition du Mans Classic, juste avant la course qui aura lieu les samedi 10 et dimanche 11 juillet prochains. Une première vente de … premier ordre Cette première vente événement présentera des lots exceptionnels dont deux voitures ayant disputé les 24 Heures du Mans : l'unique McLaren F1 GTR peinte par le sculpteur César et la CD Panhard victorieuse de l'indice de performance en 1962. Seront également présentées deux collections privées dont celle d'un homme d'affaires parisien composée de neuf GT des années 60-70 incluant une Ferrari 275 GTB/4, une Lamborghini Miura SV, une AC Cobra 289 et une plus récente Porsche 959, toutes "matching numbers" avec pedigree. Dirigé par Matthieu Lamoure, secondé de Pierre Novikoff et Iris Hummel, Artcurial Motorcars bénéficie d'une nouvelle équipe, expérimentée et entièrement dédiée à l'automobile. Maître Hervé Poulain tiendra bien entendu le marteau pour cette première vente Artcurial Motorcars au Mans Classic et plus particulièrement lors de la mise à prix de la McLaren César dont il fut l'instigateur et qu'il a lui-même pilotée sur le circuit sarthois.

Artcurial Motorcars raises the bidding! |
On 9 July, Artcurial will inaugurate their brand new Artcurial Motorcars department with a first auction presenting an exceptional collection including the unique McLaren F1 GTR painted by the sculptor César. In 2004, the record of the highest bid for a collection car in a European auction was broken at Le Mans Classic. Considering that the best museum is the road, even the racetrack; Artcurial Motorcars have decided to launch their inaugural auction on the occasion of the fifth Le Mans Classic, on Friday, 9 July, just before the race to be held on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July. First auction... first class! This auction gathers a collection of exceptional cars, two of them having participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans: the unique McLaren F1GTR decorated by famous sculptor César and the CD Panhard winner of the 1962 Index of Performance. One of the two private collections on sale was owned by a Parisian businessman and offers nine 60's/50's GT among which a 275 GTB/4 Ferrari, a Lamborghini Miura SV, an AC Cobra 289 and a more recent Porsche 959. All of them present matching numbers and full pedigrees. Artcurial Motocars: smart cars, smart team!
