The straight Line

… and not any one, the Hunaudières, the most famous straight stretch in the world which has kept all its magic since the first “24 Hours” in 1923 and the legendary Le Mans style start are definitely the Le Mans Classic's winning combination.

Six grids, hosting cars, or the sister car, which have already competed in this unique race between 1923 and 1979, which follow each other three times on the track –day& night-, meaning eighteen, or nearly, Le Mans-style starts.
Grid 1 (1923/1939) - Grid 2 (1949/1956) - Grid 3 (1957/1961)
Grid 4 (1962/1965) - Grid 5 (1966/1971) - Grid 6 (1972/1979)

There are two major conditions to reach the eagerly converted layout…
Having an FIA International Competition licence;
Owning -or sharing-
an eligible car, o, or model of same type, having raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1923 and 1979.

Actually, since endurance is a men and endurance affair, the Le Mans Classic general victory will be awarded to a team made of one car in each grid.

For historical and security reasons, the cars are divided, according to their period, into six grids (groups)
